Pogoda w Cala Ratjada
Cala Ratjada in Mallorca – what is worth knowing?
Cala Ratjada in Mallorca is one of the top places on the north-eastern coast of the island. A great place for a holiday, due to its location and what this town has to offer. There is a promenade here, leading from the bay of Cala Gat to Son Moll. Filled with beautiful views, lots of restaurants, bars, pubs and shops. At every step you can hear the conversations of people who have come here from different corners of the world. Cala Ratjada is a great choice for accommodation and a base for trips. In the town there is a small, picturesque and busy port.
A little further is Cala Moll. A bay located in the town of Son Moll. To be honest with you, I admit that Cala Moll is one of the most beautiful bays I have seen. The bay is located near the port, so from the beach we have a view of ships and yachts. The beach is sandy, has sun loungers, showers and lifeguards. There is also a bar on the beach, and just behind it are more. I especially recommend Coco Beach House. It is a popular place for tourists looking for a quiet holiday, but also a dynamic nightlife. It is worth noting that Cala Ratjada is one of the main fishing ports on the island, which adds character and authenticity to it. Here are some reasons why it is worth going to Cala Ratjada in Mallorca, and a few issues that may influence the decision to visit.
Cala Ratjada in Mallorca’s pros:
- Beautiful beaches – Cala Ratjada offers some of the most beautiful beaches on the island, with crystal clear waters and soft sand. Cala Moll, Cala Gat, near Cala Agulla, or Font de Sa Cala.
- Good location – The town is well connected to other parts of Mallorca, which makes it easy to explore the island. Public transport allows you to visit not only the nearby areas, but also the further regions of the island.

Cons Cala Ratjada:
- High tourist traffic during the season – During the peak season, Cala Ratjada can be crowded, which can affect the comfort of your vacation.
- Prices may be higher – Due to the large number of tourists, prices in restaurants, shops and hotels can be higher than in other, less touristy parts of the island.
- Lack of privacy on the beach – Due to its high popularity, some beaches can be crowded, which limits the space for relaxation.
The beaches in Cala Ratjada, Mallorca that you MUST visit:

What to do in Cala Ratjada, Majorca?
Cala Ratjada is full of nice, romantic and innovative restaurants. I myself am in love with glass terraces overlooking the sea! One of the hotels in Son Moll has such a terrace, right by the promenade. The view stretches out to the sea and the yachts drifting on it and to the beach, crowded with people. Cala Moll is characterized by huge rocks on its right side. Many people climb them to take souvenir photos. For the curious, who like walking – I recommend going along the promenade, which is located just behind the beach. Literally 200 meters from Cala Moll you can admire small, wild bays, which are not always besieged by people. They are much smaller and more modest, but in my opinion, very scenic! The view of the rocks and bays stretches for several kilometers.
A great idea would be to take a walk to the bay of Cala Gat or take a cruise along the coast of Mallorca. You can buy a ticket for the cruise HERE.
What also might be interesting is the visit at Sa Torre Cega, which is a unique place that combines the beauty of nature and art. This elegant property with gardens full of sculptures is a real gem for lovers of culture and peace. Walking through the lush avenues, you can admire both works of art and views of the Mediterranean Sea. It is the perfect place to relax and get inspired while exploring the east coast of Mallorca.
