Cala Anguila in Mallorca
Cala Anguila in Mallorca is one of those bays you don’t want to leave. The color of the water here is like out of this world. Beautifully transparent and turquoise. The bay is small, in summer it is really crowded, because of the large number of hotels in the area and the tourist towns around, but it has its own charm. Cala Anguila beach is surrounded by medium height cliffs, where a lot of pine trees grow. I highly recommend you to climb the cliffs and see the bay from a completely different perspective. It is beautiful.
The beach is sandy, there are showers, toilets, in summer there is a lifeguard. The place is ideal for paddle boarding, kayaking, or snorkeling with a mask. There is a bar at the back of the beach and parking is just behind the beach. Catamaran cruises are also offered in the area, which I highly recommend. This gives you the opportunity to see Cala Anguila bay and others in the area from the sea. Cala Anguila is an ideal place for people who are looking for peace and relaxation during their vacations.
What to do in and around Cala Anguila in Mallorca?
Definitely a lot of walking. Not far away are such bays as Cala Mandia or Cala Romantica. By bus you can reach the harbour town of Porto Cristo, where you can also visit the caves of Cuevas del Drach. A little bit further I recommend to visit bays such as Cala Morlanda, or the beautiful beach of Sa Coma and the ranch located just behind the beach.
Heading south you should visit the bays of Cales de Mallorca – Cala Antena, Cala Domingos, and a little further all the bays located in the beautiful Cala d’Or. Cities worth visiting are definitely: Son Servera, Felanitx, Santanyi.
