Cala Romantica in Mallorca
Cala Romantica in Mallorca is a medium-sized bay on the east coast of the island. It is extremely picturesque, scenic and is definitely also one of the more loved bays on the island. This is all because of the easy access to the beach and the beautiful white cliffs slightly overgrown with greenery and local pine trees. What I like about this bay is for sure the beautiful cliff promenade, which gives access to Cala Mandia and Cala Aguila, also beautiful bays in the area.
The parking lot at Cala Romantica is not the biggest, but there is always the possibility to park a little further away, in the settlements of this small town. The beach is sandy, long, but not that wide. On the beach there are all services such as toilets, showers, restaurants, lifeguards and deckchairs rental. An additional attraction is the possibility of sailing a catamaran in the nearby bays on the east coast. The harbor is located just off the boardwalk on the rock, and tickets can be purchased at a booth nearby. Prices range from 16 to 20 several euros, depending on the type of cruise.
What to do in and around Cala Romantica in Mallorca?
Cala Romantica in Mallorca is a very quiet, family and elderly friendly town with a beautiful beach. There are not many attractions, but there are quite a lot of hotels and bungalows. I would highly recommend anyone going to this area to rent a car to explore further areas, which are very picturesque and worth a visit.
In the area it is worth seeing such bays as: Cala Anguila, Cala Mandia, Cala Antena, Cala Domingos, Porto Cristo, Cala Varques and located a little further Cala d’Or and Portocolom. Another interesting attraction in the area are the caves of Cuevas del Drach and the town of Felantix. And what are your impressions on Cala Romantica?
