Cala Conills in Mallorca

Cala Conills in Mallorca is a very tiny cove located right next to the town of Sant Elm, which is also the westernmost point of the island. There is a parking lot just outside the cove, but it is very small, so parking a car here in high season is almost impossible. It’s worth coming here early in the morning or late in the afternoon to find a spot (here location: 39.573231469694505, 2.353787555528702). Cala Conills is a rocky bay, connected in some places with small sandy zonas. A lot of fishing and diving enthusiasts come here and a lot of boats stop here.

Most importantly, Cala Conills guarantees really beautiful views and the rock formations only add to the charm of the place. There are no stores or restaurants in the immediate vicinity, so I highly recommend you stock up on food and drink. There are also no services such as showers, toilets or beach chair rental. You can find all this on the beach next door, in the town of Sant Elm. If you prefer a more wild atmosphere, Cala Conills will be a great choice for you.

During your stay at Cala Conills in Mallorca I highly recommend you to take a walk along the trail marked on the right side. It leads to an abandoned place, which once (I suspect) was a hotel or a restaurant, or maybe a beach club? Now there are boat wrecks, an abandoned pool with graffiti, which makes for a cool atmosphere and could be an interesting place for photography enthusiasts. What attracts most to this place is definitely the local views. Sant Elm and Cala Conills are some of the most beautiful places on Majorca. No surprise though – the southwest is a beautiful region on the island.

What to do in the Cala Conills area?

As I mentioned above, be sure to take a walk to the town of Sant Elm, which is extremely charming. In the harbor there you can also buy a cruise to the island of Sa Dragonera. There is also a watchtower here, perched on a hill, from where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding coastline. Further afield, there are other places to visit such as Port de Andratx, Cala Fornells, the beautiful beaches of Paguera, or the Mirador las Malgrats, a great vantage point for sunsets near Santa Ponsa!

Be sure to let us know in the comments if you made it to Cala Conills and what impressions and opinions you have about the place. Thanks to this other readers will have a broader point of view. I highly recommend you to visit this place, it is extremely charming.
