Top 10 places in Mallorca.

Top 10 places in Mallorca which You can visit during your holidays! Of course, the places are chosen by me and this is my opinion, so you may not agree with it. I invite you to browse the list of places that, in my opinion, will knock you off your feet on the island! 🙂

The bay of Cala Pi – top 10 destinations in Mallorca.

The bay of Cala Pi is recommended by me very often. It is one of the most phenomenal bays on Mallorca. The nature here, which forms beautiful views, is literally breathtaking. Masses of people come here at least for a photo. Cala Pi is a bay that was one of the first places on the island to be settled by people. The beach is small, sandy and the water is crystal clear and shallow. There are several viewpoints, as well as restaurants and shops. Here I leave you a link to a post about Cala Pi, where you can find out much more about it: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/cala-pi/

Miasteczko Deia – my favourite town on Mallorca.

Deia is so beautiful that when I tell others about it, I can see the confusion in their eyes, hahaha. This is definitely one of the top 10 places in Mallorca worth visiting. I love this place and I love going back there. It’s a very small town tucked among the mountains, its landscape is UNESCO-listed and the place itself has a lot of history in it. And this is because it was one of the first towns to be settled by the native inhabitants of Majorca. The place itself has attracted the attention of many artists, celebrities and high profile personalities. There is not much to write here, I invite you to read everything in the post: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/cala-deia/

Capdepera Castle – top 10 places to visit in Mallorca.

Castell de Capdepera is my favourite castle in Mallorca. It’s very well preserved, entrance costs only 4 euros and inside there are lots of beautiful corners, a small chapel and beautiful views from the castle itself. If you visit the castle on a clear day, you will be able to see the island of Menorca from the castle. The castle itself is situated on a hill in the town of Capdepera. The surroundings of Capdepera are also wonderful. There are lots of beaches, bays, viewpoints and interesting places. I leave you again with the link to the post about the castle: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/castell-de-capdepera-majorka/

Playa de Muro – The most beautiful beach on Majorca.

Playa de Muro is not only the most beautiful, but also the longest beach in Mallorca. This beach is famous for its wooden footbridge, which can be seen on many postcards. The water here is crystal clear, the beach is sandy and there are restaurants and bars every step of the way, so there is no need to worry about hunger or thirst. The beach is located in a natural park, so the surroundings are wonderful too. Plus, you can do a lot of water sports here – the only downside to this place is the wind is more frequent, which is a plus for surfers. I invite you to the post: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/playa-de-muro/

Cala na Clara – The most beautiful wild bay on Mallorca.

Cala na Clara is a bay not from this earth. I have not seen a more beautiful bay in a long time. Admittedly, many people may disagree with me, but in the end, it’s my opinion. Cala na Clara is a rocky bay at first, but once you get into the water, there is sand under your feet. The views from Cala na Clara spread to the horizon and yachts at sea. Behind you, however, are huge cliffs and mountains, with beautiful nature. You can also meet goats here. I invite you to the post: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/cala-na-clara/

Cuevas del Drach – top 10 destinations in Mallorca.

There are quite a few caves on Mallorca. And those accessible to the public, but also those hidden, deep in the rocks, which few people know about. The Dragon Caves, or Cuevas del Drach are located in the town of Porto Cristo and are really worth seeing. While visiting the caves, apart from the mass of stalagmites, you can also listen to a classical music concert that takes place LIVE, on boats that float on the lake in the cave. It is a very cool show, even for someone who is not a classical music lover. At the very end of the tour, tourists can get on a boat and sail to the exit. I highly recommend this place, to everyone! Formentor – a must-see place when you go to Majorca.

Formentor hides a lot more than you might think. While driving along the winding roads, it is worth stopping at several points. The first stop is Mirador Es Colomer, the second is the tower of Talaia d’Albercutx. Both of these places are next to each other and are great spots for sunset and photo shoots. The next point of the tour is Playa Formentor, which is a beach that as some people know is famous for having the cleanest water in Mallorca. It is fabulous and I highly recommend going to it. The next point is the bay of Cala Figuera, which is famous for the fact that goats live nearby and whenever there are people on the beach, there are also goats. I recommend taking food and water for them, which they are very thirsty for! After a trip to Cala Figuera, you can head to Cala Murta and then to Formentor’s most famous point, Cap de Formentor – the famous lighthouse, the northernmost point on Mallorca. You can find out more in the post: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/formentor-i-cala-formentor/

Sa Calobra – serpentine roads and adrenaline on Mallorca.

Sa Calobra is, in my opinion, a must when visiting the island. This place is famous for the fact that its serpentine roads are built among mountains and are often very narrow and dangerous. In addition, in summer you pass buses on them, which sometimes causes fear. There are plenty of precipices and heights, but also beautiful views. A trip to Sa Calobra is a must. At the very end of the trip there is a small bay, and if you go a little further, you will see the nail on the head, the bay of Sa Calobra, which is accessed through a tunnel carved in the rock. The bay is rocky, the water there is deep, but the view of these huge cliffs is breathtaking. You can also take a walk towards the gorge. Coming back or going to Sa Calobra, I highly recommend going to Es Guix restaurant, where you can bathe in a natural spring pool. Advance booking is required, but the experience is amazing. You can read more about it in the post: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/sa-calobra/

Puerto de Andratx – the most beautiful port on Mallorca.

Puerto de Andratx is one of the more luxurious places on Majorca. In the summer you can meet all kinds of celebrities here. You can eat well, stroll around the harbour and, most importantly, enjoy the beautiful views. The port is hidden among the mountains, on which a lot of colourful villas have been built, which give a beautiful contrast to this place (although I don’t support mass housing). There are two streets that I use as viewpoints: Carrer Puig de s’Espart and Carrer Valleluz – I recommend going a bit higher to have views of the bay and the port from above (thank you Janette for showing me these beautiful places!). The surroundings of Puerto de Andratx are also good. Nearby is the cool bay of Cala Marmassen, as well as the famous Beach Club, in the bay of Cala Llamp, called “Gran Folies” with a pool overlooking the sea.

Palma, or Palma de Mallorca – the capital of the island.

I must admit that Palma is not my favourite place on the island, but it is definitely a city worth seeing because of its monuments, such as: Castell Bellver, La Seu Cathedral, Palacio Real de la Almudaina or the Royal Gardens, which are right next door. Plus, right next to the cathedral is the best ice cream parlor, Italian, called Rivareno, which I recommend to everyone (the nutty flavours sweep you off your feet, I recommend the pistachios). Palma is beautiful around the cathedral, the rest of the city does not satisfy me. However, you can eat well here, take beautiful photos and see Mallorca from the civilised side. I invite you to read a post in which I describe how to visit Palma in one day: https://namajorce.pl/hiszpania/baleary/mallorca/miejscowki-na-majorce/palma-de-mallorca/

Mallorca is a beautiful island, where it is worth staying a little longer and exploring the length and breadth, because to be honest, it can be quite surprising. My other favourites on the island are:
– beautiful Jardines de Alfabia gardens
– excellent wine and cheese tasting museum Museo de la Granja
– beautiful towns of Fornalutx, Soller, Valldemossa and Banyalbufar
– amazing beaches of Es Trenc, Cala Torta, Sa Coma
and the beautiful bays of Cala Morlanda, Calo des Moro, Cala Marmols,
but also many, many others. If you do not know what to see on Mallorca, I invite you to contact me! I will help you. I hope you enjoyed my list of top 10 places on Mallorca and I did not disappoint.
