Wild beaches in Majorca – Cala na Clara.

Wild beaches in Majorca – Cala na Clara is a “wild” bay in Mallorca that is located on the northeast side of the island. It is not a beach that is often described in guidebooks. As for me, there are no wild beaches in Majorca, because I have never encountered a place where I was completely alone. By writing wild, I mean places much less known by tourists.

You cannot get to the bay by bus. You can only drive to the town of Betlem and go on foot to the bay. There is also no car park. Cars simply park on the sidewalk along the road. Then you have to walk for about 10 minutes. When you come to a crossroads, go left.

The road is rural, surrounded by forests and mountains. Descent to the beach is quite steep, definitely more difficult for people who are not fully fit. The beach is not guarded. There are no toilets or showers in the area. The Casablanca restaurant is nearby, but reservation and dress code are required. There is no store nearby.

Cala na Clara is one of the most beautiful bays I have been to.

The beach is rocky, you won’t put a towel on the sand here. However, when you enter the water, there is sand under your feet. After all, swimming shoes will come in handy here. For this definitely some food and drink. Lots of drinking! There will be no crowds over the bay, the water is crystal clear, and all kinds of yachts, boats, private catamarans, etc. like to come here. And the views are wonderful! Rocks, boulders, pines, cliffs and great mountains.

I did not expect such views in that area! If this is not enough for you, be sure to move from the beach to Es Calo Bay. You have to climb back up and go to the crossroads I wrote about above. And turn the other way. After 30 minutes of hiking, you will find yourself in Es Calo, which is just as worthwhile! It’s best to turn on google maps and look at the map!
