Torta bay, Majorca.
Torta bay is a rather little known cove where you will find far more locals than tourists. There are no palm trees, pine trees or comfortable sun loungers for rent. However, it is strict but beautiful here. The beach is sandy and quite large. It is also ideal for children as the water is not very deep.
The water, on the other hand, is crystal clear and transparent. There will also be rocks where the locals lay out their towels and hide from the sun. There are no bars or restaurants nearby. However, the beach is guarded by a lifeguard.
How to get to the bay?
Access to Cala Torta bay is only possible by car or other means of transport. However, access by bus is not possible here. There is a car park by the bay, but the roads are not in the best condition. If you are driving a rented car, drive carefully (I was driving the whole route on the number one). The road is washed away by rains and there are some holes and rocks. You can drive almost to the bay itself. Parking is free.
Right next to it, there are two bays: Cala Mitjana and Cala Estreta. Cala Mitjana is a nudist beach, and Cala Estreta is a typical rocky bay where lovers of diving and other water attractions go. You can walk to them (turn left for a few minutes) or go back to your car and drive. A bit further is the fairly large bay of Cala Mesquida, where you can rent sun loungers and buy something at a nearby shop.
