Cons:

  1. High popularity during the season: During the summer, the beach attracts crowds of tourists, which can make it difficult to find a quiet place to relax.
  2. High prices in the area: Playa de Muro is located in a popular tourist area, which means that prices in nearby restaurants, shops and hotels can be higher than in less popular areas.
  3. Lack of natural shade: There are no trees or natural shelters from the sun on the beach, which means you will need to rent an umbrella or bring your own equipment.
  4. Less interest in diving: The waters here are shallow and calm, which is ideal for families, but less attractive for those looking for places to dive or snorkel.
  5. Wind during certain times of the year: Due to its location, the beach can be exposed to the wind, which can be difficult to relax in, although it is also good for water sports.

This beautiful beach is home to the famous jetty, a true icon that adorns postcards and Instagram photos. In summer, it is extremely popular with beachgoers who want to fully enjoy this picturesque place. It is worth mentioning, however, that in winter the jetty is partially closed, as weather conditions can change drastically, which means that caution is needed.

All year round, the beach offers gentle waves that wash ashore, and the views of the Bay of Alcudia are unforgettable. However, it should be noted that it can sometimes be a bit windy, due to the long and open stretch of beach. In summer, this is an incredible relief.

At the end of the road is the Formentor Lighthouse, a popular viewpoint. Also worth a visit is the Formentor beach, surrounded by pine trees, which offers calm waters and a unique atmosphere. During the high season, it can be quite busy, so it is best to plan a visit early in the morning or outside the peak tourist season.
