Santanyi bay, Majorca.
Santanyi bay is a charming bay in the south of Majorca. The bays in the south of Majorca are usually characterized by the fact that they are quite narrow, hidden between the cliffs on which tall pines are planted. They often give shade to some parts of the beach. Cala Santanyi beach is sandy, and the water here is crystal clear and ideal for families with children.
There is a rescue booth on the beach. There are also showers and toilets as well as hotels and restaurants. Behind the beach there is free parking, which gives very easy access to the beach. The surroundings of Cala Santanyi are rather quiet and peaceful. In summer, there are a lot of tourists on the beach, but the area itself is not very crowded.
Cala Santanyi also has Majorca’s characteristic fishing houses.
I call them garages, because the biggest attraction of these houses is the “driveway” to the garage where the boat is left. Garage doors are usually green, which looks great in the pictures and people often target these houses. In some places in Majorca, fishing houses can be rented for accommodation, but the price certainly knocks off our feet.
Cala Santanyi is a very picturesque bay. On the right side of the beach is a promenade hidden in the shade and stairs leading to the town. The beach is ideal for water sports and diving!
