Port Adriano in Mallorca
Port Adriano in Mallorca is a luxury port in the southwest of the island opened in 2012 (here location to parking: 39.48735745602576, 2.4774772955797792). Many events are held here, and an ice rink opens in winter. Port Adriano is surrounded by high cliffs with a color rarely seen on Mallorca, which is slightly reddish. This color is found much more on the western side of Mallorca. What attracts to Port Adriano is certainly a whole lot of yachts, motorboats, catamarans and much more. You can find small private boats, but also huge private catamarans for many millions of euros. Port Adriano is worth visiting during the day, but also at night. The architect has made sure that the lighting in the harbor enhances the advantages of this place.
Apart from the standard harbor attractions like boats, water sports and exhibitions, you’ll find a whole bunch of restaurants here (be warned, it’s not cheap), as well as dozens of stores ranging from clothing stores to professional ones selling boat accessories. Until a few years ago, the El Toro region was not very often visited. Since the port appeared here, the place has been transformed into a luxury zona. Right next to the port of Port Adriano is a small sandy beach called Playa El Toro (here is the location of the parking lot: 39.4915090702251, 2.479585687177822) overlooking the boats and yachts coming out and the beautiful endlessness of the sea. The beach has sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, toilets, showers and lifeguard service.
I highly recommend you to visit Port Adriano in Mallorca. It is a perfect place for a walk, dinner, and for those who want to go to the beach. I must admit, however, that the beach here is nice, but in Mallorca you will certainly find more charming places for sunbathing and swimming in the sea. I will also add that this is a port often visited by a famous sports couple, the Lewandowskis.
What to do in the Port Adriano area?
Definitely go for the sunset at Mirador Malgrats (39.49966393031454, 2.4600205339110413), and the town of Santa Ponsa with an interesting beach and attractions such as a rope park or the archaeological park Puig de Sa Morisca (39.50929006029792, 2.482857959633849) with great viewpoints and the chance to see the ruins of ancient buildings of the first inhabitants of the island. Heading west, it is worth visiting places such as Cala Fornells, Puerto de Andratx and my favorite Sant Elm. Towards the east I would definitely recommend: Cala del Mago, Palma Nova, Portals Nous, Cala Comtesa, Cala Major and of course the capital: Palma.
