Playa Es Trenc in Mallorca – a paradise in the south of the island
Playa Es Trenc in Mallorca is one of the most famous and beloved beaches on the island. Located on the southern coast of the island, it delights tourists with its Caribbean charm: soft, white sand, crystal clear water and natural surroundings make this place a true paradise on earth. No wonder that this is also where world-class celebrities spend their holidays. Does Playa Es Trenc in Mallorca really deserve the title of one of the most beautiful beaches on the island? Definitely yes, although it is worth being aware of what to prepare for before visiting.
How to get to Playa Es Trenc?
Getting to Es Trenc is easy, but it’s worth planning ahead. The beach is 2 kilometres long and can be reached from two sides: from Ses Covetes or from Colonia de Sant Jordi. Both locations have car parks, from which you can walk to the beach in about 20 minutes. There is also a larger, official car park closer to the entrance to Es Trenc – the fee is around 7 euros and the distance to the beach is just a few minutes’ walk.
Be aware that the car parks fill up quickly, especially in the summer season, so it’s worth arriving early. In the area, parking is prohibited on yellow lines, driveways or private land, so be careful to avoid a ticket. You can also get to Playa Es Trenc in Mallorca by bus, although it takes time and changes, depending on where you’re leaving from. I recommend checking the directions from your accommodation to Es Trenc on Google Maps.
Es Trenc – an oasis of nature and crystal clear waters
Es Trenc beach is not only about white sand and turquoise water, but also the untouched nature surrounding it. The area is full of natural dunes, pine groves and flat areas that give the place a unique character. Walking along the beach, you can also admire the picturesque salt pans, where the famous Es Trenc salt is produced, and the pink lagoons in their vicinity add to the charm of this part of the island.
The cleanliness of the water in Es Trenc is due to the natural ecosystem. Although sometimes you can see dry algae on the beach, it should not be confused with pollution – it is an element that ecologists leave on purpose to support the natural process of cleaning the sea. Thanks to this, the water in this area retains its crystalline clarity.
Is Playa Es Trenc worth visiting?
If you dream of a paradise vacation, definitely yes! Es Trenc is the perfect place for fans of beautiful beaches and relaxation. However, it is worth remembering that it is a popular attraction, so in the season you have to expect more tourists. On site you will find bars serving drinks and snacks, as well as the possibility of renting sunbeds.
There is little natural shade on the beach, so don’t forget an umbrella, plenty of water and sunscreen – the sun in this area can be really intense. A light wind makes the heat more bearable, but also increases the risk of quick skin burns.
An additional attraction of Es Trenc are the white bunkers with interesting inscriptions in Catalan, which add character to the place. It is also an excellent viewpoint of the nearby salt pans and the coast.
Playa Es Trenc – nature at its best
Playa Es Trenc is not only a place for sunbathing, but also a chance to experience the untouched nature of Majorca. Walking along the dunes and pine groves, you can feel like you are in a distant corner of the world. Whether you are going for a family vacation, a romantic getaway for two or a day alone with a book, Es Trenc will surely provide you with an unforgettable experience.
