Mirador las Malgrats in Mallorca
Mirador las Malgrats in Mallorca is one of my favorite viewpoints on the island. I love the sunsets here, but I should point out that during the day this place is also very pretty and worth a visit. This vantage point shows a collection of Malgrats islands a bit away from the island of Majorca. In the background you can see only the rocks and the sea. However, they make a strong impression because of their steep, heavy and jagged shape. The Malgrats Islands can be admired from several places, and my favorite is definitely this one: 39.49963307503502, 2.4599919083649815.
The other locations are: 39.50384173702366, 2.4615183693687688 and 39.50507932306506, 2.456790614805438. In my humble opinion, however, the first proposal is by far the best spot both for photography and for watching the sunset. In the first location given by me there is no security and the viewpoint is located on a very high and steep cliff, so I ask you to be careful while visiting.
There are also benches where you can sit and relax. I must add that it is quite a busy place and if you want to spend some more time here, bring a blanket to sit on and warm clothes if the weather is not the most pleasant. The place is open to the sea and it is very windy here! 🙂
What to do near Mirador las Malgrats in Mallorca?
Be sure to visit the nearby town of Santa Ponsa which has a long sandy beach with beautiful water. In Santa Ponsa you should also visit places such as the huge rope park or the archeological park Puig de Sa Morisca where you can see the area from a height and the ruins of some of the first inhabitants of the island. Nearby you will also find the very luxurious Port Adriano, a bit further east you should also visit Cala del Mago, or Palma Nova. However, on the west side I highly recommend to see among others: Cala Fornells, Camp de Mar, Puerto de Andratx or located a little further, my favorite, Sant Elm.
I encourage all readers to comment on the beautiful Mirador las Malgrats in Mallorca. Have any of you managed to visit this place? Do you recommend or advise against it? I definitely recommend it and can’t wait to go there again.
