Playa Cala Blava in Mallorca
Playa Cala Blava is a place that overflows with tourists during the season. The bay is located just behind the town of El Arenal. Direct access by bus to this place is unfortunately not possible, but if you move by car, you can easily park your car here and enjoy the sandy beach and the great views. The beach itself does not have a lifeguard, nor services such as sunbeds, toilets or a bar, so you’ll want to bring your own drinks and snacks.
It is worth noting that this is quite a touristy place, and there are quite a few hotels in the area. So don’t count on the lack of company on the beach. Restaurants and stores are located above the beach, a few hundred meters from it, so without any problem you will be able to go there for lunch or for supplies for a day at the beach. The beach is sheltered by low cliffs, overgrown with typical Mallorcan nature.
What to see near Playa Cala Blava?
It is also worth mentioning that thanks to the crystal clear water at the beach you have the opportunity to see what is under the water. It is worth taking snorkeling equipment with you and hunting for colorful fish by the rocks. The beach is not very big, so I would point out once again that it can be crowded, especially in summer. In the area, I recommend going to the town of El Arenal, where palm trees grow on the beach. This is a great spot for photos and there are some beautiful sunsets here. Near the bay there are two more, also small, but worth attention – Sa Pesquera Plana and Calo de Ses Lleonardes.
