Cala Banyalbufar in Mallorca
Cala Banyalbufar in Mallorca is a small bay located in the charming town of Banyalbufar. This is a place completely different from all the others on the island. The clear influence of man on its formation is immediately obvious. The bay, which surrounds the foothills of the majestic Serra de Tramuntana mountains, probably once required quite an effort to reach it. However, now it is accessible to all comers.
Cala Banyalbufar beach is distinguished by its rocky and concrete character, and at its end there is a charming little port, which adds additional charm to this place. On both sides of the bay there are protective nets that protect against breaking off rocks and stones. This gives us a sense of security and allows us to focus on enjoying the wonderful surroundings.
The water in Cala Banyalbufar delights us with its crystal clear water, and from the beach there are breathtaking views of the beautiful cultivated terraces. You can enjoy not only relaxing on the beach, but also admire the unique landscapes that make Cala Banyalbufar a unique place in Mallorca.
The beach
Cala Banyalbufar in Mallorca – a beach that is clearly different from others. It is its uniqueness that attracts many visitors. What makes it so special? First of all, you can see significant human interference in its appearance. If you expect a typical beach with white sand, palm trees and umbrellas, here you will experience something completely different. Cala Banyalbufar surprises with its authenticity.
In the morning, the beach is still hidden in the shadows cast by the majestic cliffs. On the cliffs you can see characteristic protective nets, which are a safety element. When we cross the pebble beach, we come across a concrete port, which provides a convenient place to spread out towels. But that’s not all that the cliffs have to offer. Our eyes will also be pleased by the “mini waterfall” that decorates these picturesque slopes (only in winter). The cascade of water gently flows down carefully carved stones, which are decorated with moss. This place exudes a pleasant coolness that adds charm and refreshment.
Car park at Cala Banyalbufar in Mallorca
Getting to the beach is easy and convenient. In the town of Banyalbufar itself you will find available parking spaces, which will allow you to park freely. However, if you decide to use the convenient paid parking lot, you can find it near the main area of the town. Additionally, there is also a parking lot directly at the entrance to Cala Banyalbufar beach. However, it should be remembered that due to its popularity, it may happen that there will be no free space there, it is worth going there early in the morning or late in the afternoon in the summer.
No worries, regardless of the choice of parking space, going down to the beach is easy and comfortable, thanks to the wide stairs leading directly to the beach. It is worth remembering, however, that on the beach itself, moving barefoot or in sandals may be a bit difficult. Therefore, I highly recommend taking comfortable walking and swimming shoes with you, which will allow you to freely enjoy the beach attractions.
