Cala Deia in Mallorca
Cala Deia in Mallorca is a medium sized bay located on the west coast of the island. The west coast in my opinion is very diverse, extremely scenic, picturesque and rustic. The same is true for the beautiful Cala Deia. To get to Cala Deia, you need to park your car in the public parking lot: 39.75738493700607, 2.6413229114680488, and then you’ll have about a 15-minute walk to the bay. Be warned that parking a car here borders on miracle during high season. For this reason I recommend you to come here either early in the morning or in the afternoon. Cala Deia can also be reached by bus. The bus stop is located in the town of Deia and after getting off the bus it will take you less than an hour to walk to the bay.
There are two restaurants on the bay of Cala Deia in Mallorca, including one, the very famous C’as Patro March. I recommend you to book a seat in advance, otherwise you will be waiting in line or sitting on the sidelines without a sea view. I warn you, it is not cheap. The beach is rocky and quite small, also in full summer there may be problems with spreading a towel. The bay is very nice and completely different from the rest in Mallorca. On the left there is a tiny fishing port, and on the right there is a huge boulder, from which every now and then a brave person makes a jump into the crystal clear water.
Cala Deia is an ideal place for mask diving, water sports, paddle boarding, or kayaking. I recommend taking swimming shoes with you, because it is quite uncomfortable here barefoot. Behind the beach is a high cliff that just adds variety to the landscape. I love Cala Deia for its hippie vibe and the freedom all around. Even though this place is very touristy, I can still feel the local vibe here.

Be sure to take a walk through the town of Deia. Drive a little further and see places such as the beautiful Sa Foradada viewpoint, the gardens of Son Marroig, or the town of Valldemossa. In the other direction I recommend visiting Soller, Puerto de Soller and Fornalutx. You will not be disappointed!
