It all starts with the company simply calling itself Majorca Pearls, or Majorica. These names suggest that these are pearls that originate from Mallorca. However, the company’s headquarters are located in Barcelona. Mallorca is also where the pearls are made, in one of the factories. Majorca Pearls are famous for making their pearls look practically like the real thing. These pearls are excellently reproduced.

The company has locations all over the world, including in New York. The company gives a 10-year warranty on pearls and a 2-year warranty on other jewelry it sells. Is it worth buying pearls as a souvenir from Mallorca?

I’ll be honest and say no. In my opinion, these pearls are somewhat mistakenly associated with the island. They are only associated with the island by the name of the company. Of course, it is a beautiful keepsake for a woman, and a great gift for someone who loves pearls. However, if you want to buy something that is typically associated with Mallorca, I think it would be a good idea to focus on something else. You can buy pearls in jewelry stores that are located on boardwalks, by the beach. You can also go to the factory in Manacor or to the official store in the town of Porto Cristo. One thing is for sure, being in Mallorca, they are hard to miss.
