Weather in Playa de Illetes
Playa Illetes in Mallorca
Playa Illetes in Mallorca – a paradise corner in Mallorca, close to the capital. Playa Illetes is a charming medium-sized bay, whose sandy beach is located near the capital of Mallorca, the city of Palma. If you are spending your vacation near the capital of the island, be sure to visit this beach, which can be reached by bus for a symbolic price. The local name of the beach is Playa de Illetes, referring to the islet that rises opposite it. Although the access to the island is rocky, it is worth getting special shoes for swimming and walking on rocks to enjoy its charms!
Access to the bay
To reach the bay, take bus number 4! The ticket costs only 2 euros. The beach is guarded and renting two sun loungers and an umbrella for the whole day costs around 13.50 euros. There is a nice restaurant/bar in the bay, which can be reached directly by stairs from the beach. There are also toilets next to the restaurant (entrance fee 50 cents). The area around Illetes beach is beautiful and charming. There are several luxury hotels here and the area itself looks very elegant. The bus stop is located right on the beach, just a few minutes walk from it.
A paradise for the little ones!
In my opinion, this beach is definitely suitable for children. Despite the windy day and rough sea, there were lots of happy children in the water having a great time. As you cross the beach, behind the restaurant, you will come across two more beaches. One of them is concrete, and right behind it is a flat, sandy beach. Although it can be a bit windy here due to the open area, this place will undoubtedly provide great fun for the youngest beachgoers. In the background, there are views of the Majorcan coast, picturesque colorful houses and a cluster of yachts. And on the right side, there is a perfect place for diving enthusiasts!
Parking on the beach – a hassle-free solution!
If you are traveling by car, you do not have to worry about parking. You can easily park right next to the beach, on the designated roadside. Parking is paid, but you will pay only about 1 euro per hour! It is located a short distance from the beach, as well as along the roads leading to this picturesque place.
