Cala Tuent in Mallorca
Cala Tuent in Mallorca is a medium-sized bay located near the famous port of Sa Calobra. So if you are going to Sa Calobra, consider a visit to this picturesque bay as well. You can’t get here by bus and the local free parking is small, so in high season parking can be hard to come by. It is worth noting that there are no services on Cala Tuent. There are no lifeguards, sunbed, umbrella or equipment rentals. There are no toilets or showers. The beach itself is quite large, but rocky and gravel, so not everyone will like it here.
Remember to stock up on water and food if you plan to head to this pristine bay tucked among the cliffs of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage landscape. This place is magical, beautiful, natural and definitely less visited by masses of tourists. Definitely more nature-loving locals here. Cala Tuent is an ideal place for relaxation, diving and for people who love to walk while on the beach. The surrounding hills and forests guarantee beautiful views.
You can get to Cala Tuent in Mallorca by car, but I want to emphasize that the road to this place is very winding and in some places it is really tight. That’s why it’s a good idea to prepare yourself mentally, especially if you’re going to be sick while driving. If you are looking for restaurants, I would advise against eating out in the area around Sa Calobra. It is incredibly expensive and the quality of food is terrible. If you have a different opinion about a restaurant, please comment below the post! I would love to use it myself.
What to do in the Cala Tuent area?
In addition to the obvious visit to the famous Sa Calobra is also worth a drive to the viewpoint Gorg Blau, the town of Escorca and the beautiful local towns that will definitely enchant you, ie Fornalutx, Soller, Puerto de Soller and located a little further Deia, Cala Deia and Valldemossa. The route to Cala Tuent is not the easiest, and a visit to Sa Calobra and attractions on the way will also take some time, so I suspect that you will not be able to visit additional places listed by me, but if you will be looking for what to do in the area, I highly recommend considering it! 🙂
Be sure to let us know in the comments if you have ever been to the Cala Tuent bay and did you like it? The scenery there is breathtaking. The mountains stretching left and right and the unearthly turquoise water remains in your memory for a really long time.
