Gorg Blau in Mallorca

Gorg Blau in Mallorca is an artificial reservoir located in a valley between the highest mountain on the island of Majorca, Puig Major, and Puig de Masanella. Gorg Blau reservoir supplies water to Palma de Mallorca and its surroundings. The color of the water in the artificial reservoir looks like something out of this world, so I always recommend my readers and observers to visit this place when visiting Sa Calobra. The Gorg Blau reservoir is extremely large and adds to the charm of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains.

The viewpoint is very easy to get to, as there is a fairly sizable parking lot. Location here: 39.810629814489786, 2.8229332782173957 Why come here? Because there are beautiful views here. Along the way I give you a 99% chance that you will encounter wild goats running around the steep, sharp Tramuntana mountains. It’s the perfect place for photos, and what’s even more amazing is that this place is man-made, and looks like it blends in perfectly with the landscape.

What to do in the Gorg Blau area?

Being in the area Gorg Blau in Mallorca I recommend you also look at the Cuber reservoir, located nearby, making a similar impression. Of course I would not be without recommending Sa Calobra and the nearby bay of Cala Tuent. Towns worth visiting in the area are certainly Escorca, Soller, Fornalutx and located a little further Deia, Cala Deia and Valldemossa.
