Sa Rapita in Mallorca

Sa Rapita in Mallorca is one of the most pleasant places on the island. I recommend it to all people, who are looking for peace, quiet, relaxation and paradise beaches during their vacations. You will not find here clubs, parties and masses of tourists, for sure local people enjoying life and peace of the area. What attracts tourists to this place is definitely the proximity of one of the most famous beaches on the island, Playa Es Trenc.

Right away I’d like to recommend a very nice restaurant called “Forn Sa Rapita”, they have really good prices and tasty food, so if you’re looking for something to eat after spending the day at the beach, you should definitely check it out.

What to do in and around Sa Rapita in Mallorca?

In the south of the island the coast is a bit smoother than in other parts, so a lot of cycling routes are created here. This is also the case in Sa Rapita. There is a great cycling route here, so renting a scooter/bike will be a great idea to explore the area. The local beach is Playa Arenal de Sa Rapita – white sand, crystal clear water, endless sea – RAJ.

The next stop is the small, pleasant and picturesque Ses Covetes. It is a very tiny village, located near Sa Rapita. Behind Ses Covetes is the famous beach Es Trenc, which I also highly recommend. What impresses me in this area is definitely the natural zones and wildness, almost unspoiled, island regions.

In the area it is also worth visiting the salt pans – Las Salinas, the beautiful bay of Cala Pi, or the lighthouse in Colonia de Sant Jordi. Due to its location, the town of Sa Rapita was subjected to repeated pirate attacks, which can be seen through the various remnants of the past, as well as watchtowers such as Torre de Son Duri. The area is also famous for its salt making, so this will be something that will rather catch your eye in this area.

Have any of my readers managed to visit the peaceful Sa Rapita? Do you recommend visiting this town or would you rather advise against it?
