Inca in Mallorca

Inca in Mallorca is the third largest city on Mallorca. It is famous for its local leather production, as well as its delicious wine. The area of the city, as well as its surroundings, is one of the more fertile on Mallorca, for this reason there are many orchards and groves, which can be quickly noticed when heading to Inca. Mallorca’s inhabitants appreciate the local handicrafts, and the leather products are appreciated all over the world. The town is located on the route from Palma to Alcudia. If you are going to any of these places, consider visiting the town of Inca.

Apart from that, you will also enjoy delicious local food in Inca and while strolling around the town, you will definitely notice the typical Mallorcan architecture, which was actually formed by the invaders and former authorities of the island. Sandstone houses, stone walls, persians and narrow winding streets typical for the whole Spain. While in Inca, visit the industrial museum and take a stroll through the city center where all the local life is vibrant.

What to do in the Inca area?

Inca in Mallorca is usually a place that passes on the way to the capital of Majorca – Palma, or the city of Alcudia. However, there are other worthwhile stops along the way such as Sa Pobla, Sineu, Alaro, Pollensa, Muro or Marratxi. The Mallorca Fashion Outlet is also within walking distance, where you can buy designer clothes at lower prices.

The closest beaches are to the north and are: Playa de Muro, Playa de Alcudia, Playa Formentor, or Port de Pollensa. I’m curious, have you ever stayed in the town of Inca? Most of the towns on Mallorca, especially the larger ones, have an interesting historical past, as reminded by the famous talaiots, such as the “Talaiot de s’Alcadena” located nearby.
