Algaida in Mallorca

Algaida in Mallorca is a sizable town situated closer to the central part of the island. Here you will find peace and quiet, get to know the rural and traditional side of Mallorca and also have the opportunity to taste the local products that the island is famous for. The town of Algaida is located not far from the capital, Palma, which means that the products made here find their way into many establishments in Mallorca’s largest city. Algaida is also famous for its glass factory. Here you can buy all kinds of glass products and you can also visit the glass museum and learn about the production process from the inside.

Every Friday, the town of Algaida hosts a mercado semanal. From 9:30 am to 1:00 pm you can enjoy your Yacht Charter shopping experience while strolling along the main streets of town where there are stalls selling local products such as wine, olive oil, honey and local products such as almonds, apricots and many more. What’s interesting is that the town of Algaida is nestled in a valley between mountains, which guarantees a beautiful view.

What to see in and around Algaida in Mallorca?

The main square in Algaida in Mallorca is full of beautiful buildings made of sandstone, which is very typical for Mallorca. Here, you’ll easily find the best of the best in these places, namely the old bars and restaurants, as well as tight, winding streets, interesting alleys and beautiful buildings such as the church.

In the area of Algaida you should visit places such as the town of Montuiri, Porreres, Randa and Pina. A good choice is to go to Palma, the capital of Mallorca and visit beaches such as Cala Blava, Cala Comtesa, Cala Major, the long beach Playa de Palma or the one in El Arenal.
