Cala Marmassen in Majorca is located in the southwest of Mallorca and is definitely a little-known spot on Mallorca. And in my opinion, this is a pity, because it is a truly extraordinary place. What catches your attention the most is the color of the rocks and their form. The bottom is covered with stones, so it will be a paradise for people who love to watch the underwater world.
Normally there are quite a few boats and yachts here, so the views are somewhat varied thanks to them. It definitely reflects the island’s atmosphere. You can jump into the water from here, and I even saw a team diving there with a cylinder. The water here is crystal clear and the bay is not crowded with people.
The bay is on my list of extraordinary places to visit in Mallorca. I took these photos on a cloudy day, and on a beautiful sunny day this place is even more stunning!
How do I get to the Cala Marmassen in Majorca?
You can only get there by car or on foot or by bike. It is a short distance from the port of Puerto de Andratx. You can walk there in about 20 minutes. I highly recommend visiting this bay, because it looks a bit different from the typical bays of the island. It’s not protected, there are no toilets and the nearest larger shop is in Puerto de Andratx. The descent to the rocky beach may not be the easiest, but in my opinion it is worth the trip.
