Playa Sa Font de Sa Cala
I found myself on Sa Font de Sa Cala beach by a complete accident. I planned to go to the beaches of Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida. As some of you know, I live in S’illot. Getting from my town to places like Cala Agulla is a hard time. A one-way trip takes about an hour and a half. Of course, if the bus arrives on time, it will not be late or stop at the bus stop.
How did I find myself on the Sa Font de Sa Cala beach?
By delaying the bus from Cala Agulla to Cala Mesquida for 2 minutes. The bus escaped from my nose. I quickly checked places on the map, pictures in google graphics and that’s how I chose Sa Font de Sa Cala for my goal. It was a great choice. I finally reached Cala Mesquida, but I spent only 40 minutes on the beach. Also due to the bus schedule.
This beach surprised me very positively.
This is another beach in Mallorca, which has a blue flag. The cove is very small. However, for Majorca, I would say – standard sizes. The water is crystal clear, the beach is surrounded by medium-sized cliffs and of course beautiful pine trees. There is a very nice bar on the beach with a wide range of food and drink. There is of course a lifeguard on the beach, a toilet, showers and equipment rental. The only thing missing here is parking. It is difficult to park anywhere in the season, because the place is very small.
On the beach there is a mini harbor, over which pine trees grow.
This adds an incredible charm to this place. This is a good place for those who do not like switching in the sun all day long. An ideal place to relax in the shade with beautiful views. The village of Sa Font de Sa Cala is definitely recommended for families with children. The beach is modest and shallow, parents from the beach have an eye on children and the area offers several attractions for children. Town is not one of the largest, but there is much more going on there than in the much larger town of Cala Mesquida.
I heartily recommend going to the beach Sa Font de Sa Cala.
It is a great place to perform water sports, such as recently very fashionable paddle boards. Snorkling is also recommended here. However, if you think that you could be bored here, then I heartily recommend going to the side towns. The town of Capdepera and the castle of Castell de Capdepera are worth recommending. And the beautiful beaches of Cala Agulla, Cala Mesquida, Cala Moll and Cala Ratjada. Is even the luxurious and rich district of Canyamel and its beautiful beach and caves Cuevas de Arta. Nearby there is also the ancient city of Arta and the beautiful viewpoint of Costa de los Pinos.
