Cala Agulla Beach
Cala Agulla Beach is located in the north east of Majorca. When choosing to go there, you should also hook up to the distinctive Cala Mesquida beaches and the luxurious Cala Ratjada area. What distinguishes the beach on which I will write today is the beautiful natural zones and even transparent, shallow water. I’m in love with this place and I will go back there again.
Cala Agulla beach has a blue flag.
The water there really makes a huge impression. So if you’re a fan of crystal clear waters, then Cala Agulla should be on your bucket list. In addition to the beautiful, clean water, the area is decorated with small dunes, numerous pines and interestingly formed rocks. Thanks to so many beautiful landscapes, maintained in impeccable form, this area belongs to the Llevant Peninsula Nature Park. At the entrances to the beaches there are special information boards on which you can read that on the beach of Cala Agulla you should take care of the purity and behave culturally. However, breaking the rules threatens with a mandate.
On the beach there are two restaurants and two bars in the form of booths.
The beach is protected by lifeguards. You can also rent canoes or other water equipment here. As on most Majorca beaches, you can also rent beach chairs with parasols and safes on the beach. The price for one sun lounger on Cala Agulla beach is about 9 euros for the whole day. You can get to the beach by car, there is also a car park in front of the beach. And right next to the parking lot, there are toilets. You can easily get to the beach by bus. From the bus stop to the beach we share about 10-15 minutes of walk through the forest.
Playa Cala Agulla is literally a paradise beach.
Maybe there are no palm trees, but the beauty is added by the many pines whose roots are creeping on the sand. Beautiful views are guaranteed here. Crystal clear water makes an impression on everyone. And nice people around add to this climate. It is an ideal place for people who love lounging on the beach. Here you will find everything. Restaurants, water attractions, toilets, showers, parking, bus access, cold drinks and a great atmosphere.
There is a special train in the season around the area.
This train only runs in June, July and August. Its route starts at the Font de Sa Cala beach and ends just at Cala Agulla. The train operates on the principle HOP ON – HOP OFF. So you can get in one place, get off at any stop on the way, spend a few hours in the area and jump back on the train and go on a journey or return home. The train has no windows, so on hot days it gives a lot of relief.
What to do around Cala Agulla?
Cala Agulla is a small town. However, it is located in a very attractive area. Right next to Cala Agulla is the wonderful Cala Mesquida, whose beach resembles the beaches of the Canary Islands. There is also a luxurious town of Cala Ratjada nearby, and next to it are the side-by-side Son Moll and Font de Sa Cala, which I also heartily recommend. For lovers of monuments, right next to Cala Agulla is the ancient town of Capdepera. It tempts with narrow streets, history, every Wednesday market, which starts at 7 am, and ends at 13 and the beautiful Castell de Capdepera castle. Entrance to the castle costs only 4 euros per person. Another attraction is the huge horse stud Bonanza, which offers customers horse tours in the area, just to the beach of Cala Agulla. It is definitely an amazing experience.
