Cala Pi is for me the number ONE among all in Majorca.

I am a person who loves contrasts. That is why flat beaches without expression do not make a great impression on me. I love, admittedly, crystal clear water and white sand with palm trees in the background. However, my heart beats faster when I see huge cliffs contrasting with the purest water I’ve seen. Water reflecting on the rocks on a sunny day is for me the most beautiful view! Cala Pi has it all!

I like when the bay is hidden, hard to descend.

That’s what Cala Pi is. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for people who find it difficult to move by themselves – unless they have help! Then as much as possible. Stairs lead to the beach, which are easy to trip over, because you do not pay attention to where your feet are. The views fall from the legs. If you’re in Majorca, then Cala Pi is the bay that you NEED to see. ON WHERE TO BE.

Cala Pi is the perfect choice for people who love peace and relaxation.

Cala Pi is a settlement that was first known. And the funniest thing is that it’s really little known. Cala Pi is a place that is not the most crowded tourist destination. Of course, in summer the beach is full of tourists, but not as much as in other areas of Majorca. Pi Bay is a natural port.

I learned that Cala Pi attracted the first settlers of Majorca thanks to its natural protection.

Cala Pi is surrounded by huge cliffs. The cliffs protected the town from cataclysms. Unfortunately, the rocky carving did not allow for a large number of settlements. That is why the town remains modest today. There are not many tourists here, which makes Cala Pi even more attractive and worthy of getting!

You can visit the settlement from the Bronze Age in Majorca.

“Capocorb Vell”. This settlement is assessed as one of the most important archaeological discoveries in Mallorca. Near Cala Pi there is also a vineyard that encourages visitors to visit. It is open from 10 to 18, every day. It is located about 5km from the village. Its size makes a huge impression. I think that for wine lovers it is not a small attraction!

However, of course the biggest attraction is the bay!

The beach is surrounded by two huge cliffs, which in addition are slightly twisted. So you can not see the horizon from the beach. The cliffs are shielded from the wind, so it’s usually really hot there. I recommend for lovers of sunbathing! The water on the beach is very shallow for a long time. However, it is still crystal clear. It is a great choice for families with children. They can safely play in the water!

The beach is only 50 meters wide!

However, it extends far to the sea! It attracts yachts and cruise ships that like to anchor there during the season. There is also a small porch on the beach. He is extremely charming. Many people spread towels on it and use concrete ground. Going further, we come across rocks. After which a lot of people go. Rocks are always a small attraction. There you can find small handles and fish, and sometimes even tiny shrimps!

Another attraction is a DANGEROUS space for photos.

I do not recommend people with fear, because the place can paralyze them. I’m a person who will come here and there, but this place made me shiver. I felt a slight leg paralysis, so I recommend it to people HARD! Going towards the bay we can turn right and go up the stairs or go left – “lookout points”. On the way, we’ll pass the place I mentioned above and the “selfie spot”. A place where people love to take pictures. The view extends to the calm sea, giant, overgrown cliffs and yachts.

Unfortunately, I must admit that the west of the island belongs to the less attractive coast.

In the east of the island you will find many more bays. However, near Cala Pi there is the Es Trenc beach, which is declared the most beautiful in Mallorca! I recommend going there, even to see it. The beach is very long. With white sand and dozens of yachts. I heartily and wholeheartedly recommend you both Cala Pi – my number one, and Es Trenc beach – which I will describe later!
