And once again! There is nothing to brag about, because this mountain is not among the highest in the world. It should take 2 hours and 40 minutes to enter it. However, in reality it is possible to enter a maximum of 1.5 hours. The route is 9 kilometers long. What is the most interesting in Puig de Na Penyal is the beautiful views from the top and the hidden cave!

Some have a problem finding the entrance to the mountain.

To make it as easy as possible – I recommend to enter in the navigation/google maps “Parking Tennis Bella Vista”. Exactly there is a path at the foot of the Na Penyal mountain! I would like to add that the parking is only for customers of Bella Vista, BUT … you know how it really is!

Do we recommend going to Puig Na Penyal?

I will be honest – if you like to walk in the mountains and give you pleasure, Na Penyal is really easy! We made it a bit difficult due to the fact that we are usually not very physically active. Make sure you bring a lot of water with you. We have always climbed this mountain in winter and 20 degrees it was too much. Not to mention the seasonal heat and heated rocks that give heat to your face. It’s a good idea to wear long pants / leggins because there are lots of sharp branches, grasses and other bushes.

Before you reach the top, be sure to enter the grotto!

We warn you that hardly anybody knows how to get there, which is why the local path is not too much trodden. It is easy to slip there on stones or rotten cacti (which act like a banana peel!). When you see a wooden stake in your path – there is only one stake, so it would be hard to miss – go down the path and follow the stake. There is a grotto there! The path to the cave leads through the cactus jungle!

The views from the grotto are unearthly.

And that’s why it’s worth coming to it. It’s nice to relax there, it’s much colder there. The view extends over the coast from Cala Bona to S’illot. On a good day, you can see a lot more – and there are many such in Majorca. We decided to go upstairs to see if the cactus we signed in 2015 is still there. And to our surprise – he really was there. They’ve already got a little hot, but it is! Actually, the cacti were two. One with the word N + P and the other with the inscription “la pole”. As you can guess, I signed with a mistake because LA POLACA is correctly written. Fortunately, the second cactus has disappeared, so I have nothing to be ashamed of! : D

Is the route to the top hard?

I do not think so. The path is sand, sometimes boulders / stones or sand mixed with small stones. Sometimes it can be slippery and dangerous, but there is something to catch there and it is not very steep. The only thing that makes the greatest difficulty is the heat. The heat torments the most.
